Zygmunt Janiszewski ( June 12 1888 - January 3 1920) was a Polish mathematician. He was born in Warsaw and died in Lwów, Poland. Pilsudskis Polish Legions soldier, professor at Warsaw University.

In 1920, Janiszewski together with Waclaw Sierpinski and Stefan Mazurkiewicz, founded the important mathematics journal Fundamenta Mathematica .

His main interest was topology.
