Zoran Živkovic (born October 5, 1948) is an essayist and science fiction writer from Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro ( former Yugoslavia), where he still resides.

In 1973, Zoran Živkovic graduated in literary theory from the Department of General Literature, Faculty of Philology of the University of Belgrade; he received his master's degree in 1979 and his doctorate in 1982 from the same unversity.

In 2003, Živkovic's mosaic novel "The Library" won a World Fantasy Award for Best NovellaThis World Fantasy Award is given to the fantasy novella or novellas voted best by a panel of judges, and presented each year at the World Fantasy Convention.
