Born in the village of Brezovo , Plovdiv region, Boyadzhiev graduated in paitning from the Sofia Academy of Fine Arts in 1932. His work is generally divided into two main periods - up until 1951, when he falls ill and temporarily gives up painting, and from after his recovery a few years later until his death in 1976, in the city of Plovdiv.
