Zhytomyrs’ka oblast’ (Житомирська область in Ukrainian; Zytomierzczyna in Polish) is an oblast' (province) of northern Ukraine. Historically, the province is a part of Ukrainian Polissya. Its capital is Zhytomyr.

The area of the region is 29,900 km². Its population (as of 2004- 05-01 ) is 1.4 million.

The economy of Zhytomyrs'ka oblast' mostly dealt with mining of granite and other construction stone, forestry, agriculture and various machinery manufacturing.
