Zhang Ning ( Simplified Chinese: 张宁, pinyin: Zhāng Níng) (born 19 May 1975 in Shenyang, Liaoning province) is a female badminton player from the People's Republic of China.

Zhang played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics for China. In women's singles, she defeated Marina Andrievskaya of Sweden and Kelly Morgan of Great Britain in the first two rounds. In the quarterfinals, Zhang beat Wang Chen of Hong Kong 9-11, 11-6, 11-7 to advance to the semifinals. There, she defeated countrywoman Zhou MiZhou Mi ( Chinese: ) (born 18 February 1979 in Nanning, Guangxi) is a female badminton player from the People's Republic of China. Zhou played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics for China. In women's singles, she defeated Huaiwen Xu of Germany and Kaor 11-6, 11-4. Zhang defeated Mia AudinaMia Audina (born 22 August 1979) is a female badminton player born in Indonesia, and now competing for the Netherlands. Mia Audina won a silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics for Indonesia. Audina played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
