Zbigniew Religa (born december 16 1938 in Miedniewice , Poland) is a Polish cardiologist and a pioneer of human heart transplantation. In June 1995 he was the first surgeon to graft an artificial valve created from materials taken from human corpses.

Currently Religa is also a member of the Senate of Poland.
