Yuji Naka (sometimes romanized as Yugi Naka, which is a nonstandard romanization) is a video game designer and head of Sonic Team, a group of Sega programmers/designers.

He created the levels that Sega's mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog, would star in, while Naoto Oshima actually designed the character. Naka also and produced several other titles like NiGHTS Into Dreams and Phantasy Star Online.
