Yu-Gi-Oh! R (遊戯王R), is a manga series that is a spinoff of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise.

Yu-Gi-Oh! R is published in Shueisha's V-Jump . The manga is made by Akira Itou . Yu-Gi-Oh! R is an alternate plotline which takes place after the defeat of Malik Ishtar (Marik Ishtar).

In Yu-Gi-Oh! R, the brother of Pegasus J. Crawford (Maxamillion Pegasus), Yakou Tenma (Tenma Yako) decides to avenge his brother's defeat at the hands of Yugi Mutou (Yugi Moto). Tenma takes over KaibaCorp while Seto Kaiba is in the United States. Tenma kidnaps Anzu Mazaki (Téa Gardner), prompting Yugi and his friend Katsuya Jonouchi (Joey Wheeler) to face Tenma's RA Project and the thirteen duel professors.

Yu-Gi-Oh! R characters

Yakou Tenma - The brother of Pegasus J. Crawford (Maxamillion Pegasus) who wants revenge for his defeat. Tenma is Japanese for "Pegasus".
Deschutes Lew - The first professor. Yugi defeats him.
Tira Mukuu - The second professor, who plays a vampire-themed deck. Yugi defeats her.
Klamath Osler - The third professor, who has such bad luck. Jonouchi defeats him.
Kirk Dixon - The fourth professor, who plays a machine-themed deck. Yugi defeats him.
Pete Coppermine - The fifth professor, who plays a mutant-themed deck. Jonouchi defeats him.
