The fictional character Yang Guo( Trad. Chinese: 楊過; Simp. Chinese: 杨过) is the protagonist in the Chinese wu xia novel The Great Eagle and Lovers (神鵰俠侶)(1959) by writer Jinyong.

The background time period of the novel was set in the near-end of Southern Song dynasty. In the novel, he felt in love with his teacher Xiaolongnu(小龍女). This relationship was highly controversial, in fact, such teacher-student love was forbidden and completely unacceptable in the Confucian and feudal Chinese society. Nevertheless, they were able to overcome pressure from the society and became married.

His right arm was chopped off by Guo Fu , the daugther of Guo Jing (who is the main character in The Eagle-shooting Heroes ).
