Xbox Next is a tentative title for Microsoft's second-generation game console, and the successor of the Xbox. It is expected to be released in late 2005 or early 2006.

Some have speculated that the console will have three central processing units. Each would be developed by IBM, fabricated at sixty-five nanometres, and clocked at three to five gigahertz, and will resemble a PowerPC. Microsoft has also suggested that ATI Technologies will produce its Graphics processing unit, and that it will not have a hard disk (for reasons of cutting costs, and hindering Xbox Linux from running).

Similarly, the CPU of Nintendo's Project RevolutionProject Revolution is the code name for the next Nintendo console. It is set to be released in late 2005, about the same time as the next Sony and Microsoft consoles.
