Wyatt Matthew Halliwell is the first-born child of Piper Halliwell and Leo Wyatt in the television show " Charmed", he is also the first male born in the Halliwell/Warren family line.

A prophecy foretold of the birth of a twice-blessed child to be born on a day when three planets aligned on a Wiccan sabbat during the Aurora Borealis and magic would be removed from the world. When Evil (Cronyn and Doris) discovered the prophecy, they plotted to steal Wyatt, who was destined to be powerful, in order to make him a powerful force for Evil. Fortunately, the sisters managed to keep the baby from falling into the demons' hands. The entire family were suprised that their child happened to be a boy instead of a girl.

While inside Piper, the baby could do many things. The baby could heal Piper's wounds from inside the womb with its whitelighter abilities. He summoned Grams' spirit to earth and managed to make her corporeal. The baby had influenced Piper's powers, causing her explosive power to throw fireworks and flowers instead. Piper feels as though Leo cannot make time to talk to her about her increasing pregnancy symptoms, both natural and supernatural; Leo does not feel as though Piper understands how demanding his job as a whitelighter is. So that they may walk in each other's proverbial shoes, the baby switches their powers and Leo receives Piper's pregnancy symptoms as well. Once Piper begins to understand Leo's responsibilities as a whitelighter, she regains use of her offensive power. The baby had even created a protective, as well as deflecting, shield.

Even though Piper and Leo knew that their child would be very powerful, both were surprised at the reaction to the baby from the demonic community. When two demons offered bounty for Wyatt, the sisters eventually went on the offensive and killed as many demons as possible in order to send a message that demons should not try to harm the baby. To their surprise, a prophetic demon called the Crone informed them that a law would be passed to prevent any further attempts to harm the baby because a war over the child would be detrimental rather than beneficial to evil. While Piper believed the Crone to an extent, the idea that her child had caused such fear in the demonic community troubled her somewhat.

Wyatt could now generate a force field, orb, and do telekinetic orbing.

When it came time to name him, Piper and Leo encountered difficulties because throughout Piper's pregnancy they had both assumed that she was having a girl. Leo agreed with Piper that the baby's last name should be Halliwell because of the name's magical significance. Piper eventually thought of the idea of giving him the first name of Wyatt to honor Leo and the middle name of Matthew to honor Paige, after she risked her life to save her nephew from bounty hunters.

Wyatt has been coming very quickly into his powers and the sisters have received an impressions of his full capabilities when he grows older. He was able to conjue a dragon from the television, which caused a group of magical beings called the Cleaners to try to take him away from Piper, but she managed to persuade them to leave Wyatt with her. He is also the being destined to wield the powerful sword Excalibur, but Piper is trying to keep him away from the sword until he is older.

The Order, one of the most powerful demonic cults, believed that Wyatt was their leader reincarnated, so they plotted to kidnap him and use their magic to reverse his morality so that they could raise him as their future leader. Thankfully Chris Perry, who Wyatt had always raised his shield around, knew that Wyatt's reversed morality would block the sisters but permit him and he used his new influence to get close to Wyatt and save him.

Gideon, one of the most powerful Elders, feared that all of the power that Wyatt possessed would cause him to turn and become an unstoppable threat. Gaining the sisters' confidence, Gideon used his position as a friend of the family to get close to Wyatt. He conspired with his evil counterpart in a parallel dimension to distract both the good and evil Charmed Ones so that he might kill Wyatt. However, Wyatt managed to protect himself with his powers until the sisters realized his plan in time and stopped Gideon, but only temporarily. Conspiring with Barbas who used his powers to distract the sisters and Leo, Gideon managed to kidnap Wyatt. Angered by Gideon kidnapping Wyatt and murdering Chris, Leo tracked Gideon in the Underworld and killed him, saving his son.

Gideon's enchanted athamé destroyed Wyatt's power to generate protective bubbles forever. However, Wyatt is still able to summon one when he is threatened.
