Michigan State Highway 1 or M-1 is a north-south state highway in Michigan. The southern terminus is in downtown Detroit in Wayne County. The northern terminus is at the junction with Business Loop U.S. Highway 24 and Business Loop Interstate 75 in Bloomfield Township between the city limits of Bloomfield Hills and Pontiac in Oakland County.

Total length 22 miles.

The highway is known as Woodward Avenue for the entire length. Woodward Avenue continues past the northern terminus of M-1 into downtown Pontiac.

M-1/Woodward Avenue was designated a Michigan Heritage Route by the Michigan Department of Transportation-Design Division in July 1999 and as a National Scenic Byway by FHWA National Scenic Byways Program on June 13, 2002.
