A typical Cantonese cuisine, also known as wontan, very common in southern China. Also very common in other countries where overseas chinese live.

Each wonton is a 10cm square pastry (made of flour and water) dumpling, having a mix of meat filling. The filling is made of minced pork, coursely diced shrimp, finely minced ginger, finely minced onions, sesame seed oil and soya sauce. Wonton can be served in soup or deep fried with rice or noodles.

Other variation of wonton are shrimp wonton or seafood wonton.
