Home > Withdean Stadium

Withdean Stadium is the home ground of football team Brighton and Hove Albion F.C.. For the 2004-05 season, it will be called Palookaville, after the Fatboy Slim album of the same name, in an advancement of the clubs sponsorship deal with SKINT.

The capacity of the ground is 7,000 all seated. It is a former athletics stadium quickly converted to host football, as an interim measure before Falmer Stadium is constructed.

The temporary nature of the stadium is obvious - the pitch is not exactly the right shape, the stands are assembled from scaffolding and are located some distance from the pitch at each end, due to a running track. Changing and hospitality facilities are provided with Portakabin's placed haphazardly around the site, and there is very limited onsite car parking.
