Willy Wonka is a fictional character who owns a candy company in Roald Dahl's children's book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. A musical film adaptation of Dahl's classic, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, starring Gene Wilder was released in 1971. Another version of the tale, starring Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka, will be released in 2005.
