Home > Wild Willy Barrett

Wild Willy Barrett is an English folksinger best known for his collaborations with John Otway. His musical style is witty and his humour onstage is dry, but this does not always translate well onto recorded albums. He is known for virtuoso fiddle playing, ability with a great number of stringed instruments, and playing slide guitar with a raw egg.

Recently he has been performing vocal and strings for the band "Sleeping Dogz", and closed the Cambridge folk festival in 2003 and 2004.

He is credited with supporting guitar/fiddle/vocals in a number of other albums, from Rolf Harris's version of Stairway to Heaven to fiddle/guitar/mandolin for George Hamilton IV.
