Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to sailing vessels and rigging. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. This WikiProject aims primarily to encourage accuracy and consistency in articles describing sailing vessels and their rigging.
A secondary goal is to fill gaps in the current coverage of this subject area.

- To produce a consistent and complete set of articles describing types of sailing vessels, their sails and rigging.
5 General strategy and discussion forums
- Use Sailing vessels and rigging to flag all and only articles of interest to this project.
- See Category talk:Sailing vessels and rigging for examples of articles which do not belong in this category, or this project.
- Edit all such articles to be consistent in their terminology, wikilinked as appropriate, and without excessive redundancy. And of course of high quality in all respects.
