The Wicklow Mountains are the most extensive range of mountains in Ireland. Located in the east of the country, they are not especially high – Lugnaquilla is the highest at 926m. They stretch from south County Dublin to the north of County Wexford.The Turlough Hill power station is the only pumped storage hydroelectricity scheme in Ireland.
