Whitland (in Welsh Y Hendy Gwyn) is a small town in Carmarthenshire, Wales, lying on the River Taf . Whitland is famous as the site of the first Welsh parliament , called in 930 by Hywel of Deheubarth, which drew up the Law of Wales .

The town is also home to a museum, but its main industry is a dairy.
