"92.9 Dave FM" (WZGC FM, 92.9 MHz) is an Atlanta FM radio station playing the AAA ( adult album alternative) format.

From 1989 through July 2004, the station was called Z-93, playing classic rock. The name change and format switch to AAA came on July 22. Competitor 96 Rock ( WKLS FM) then switched back to classic rock, as it was up until 1989.

Up until the change, the station was one of the most rigid Atlanta FM radio stations in terms of name and callsign. It had been this way since the early 1970s, when it began as an oldies station. It switched to top 40 in the early 1980s and to classic rock in early 1989.

WZGC is owned by Infinity Broadcasting, along with WVEEWVEE FM ( V-103 , 103. 3 MHz) is an Atlanta FM radio station. It began back in the late 1940s as WPLO AM and received a number of unknown changes between then and 1976. Since 1976, it has been "V-103" and has played R&B. WPLO-FM was its previous callsign, FM and WAOK AM in Atlanta.

WZGC's auxiliary antenna is on the same tower (at 291m HAAT), and appears to shared with WVEE's auxiliary construction permit as well. Furthermore, the antenna for both of those appears to be the same one that WWWQ first used, according to the FCC database. [1] The very top of the tower was WUPA, TV channel 69, until the required transition to digital television forced it to build another tower elsewhere, in order to accomodate the extra antenna.
