Until 1984, the history of this station is unclear. From 1984 to 2000, it was country "Y 106". Interestingly, from 1989 to 1994 there was also "Y 104" which stimulcasted with it on 104.1 (WYAI is now WALR-FM). In 2000, for some reason that involves WKHX-FM (101.5), the station changed to classic country "Eagle 106", but its callsign did not change. Both stations are owned by ABC Radio Atlanta , LLC, a subsidiary of American Broadcasting CompanyPaul Rand in 1962.
