WNGC FM ("Country 106", 106.1 MHz) is a radio station in Atlanta that plays country music. The station and callsign began in 1999 on 95.5, which was later sold by Clarke Broadcasting (apparently named for Clarke County, where it was based) to Cox Radio and became WBTS FM ("95-5 the Beat"). (That station still has Athens, Georgia in Clarke County as its city of license, but moved east to the Barrow/ Gwinnett county line to cover metro Atlanta when it was sold.)
