Home > Velocipede

A velocipede is the predecessor of the bicycle, introduced in the Victorian age. This vehicle did not have pedals like the modern bicycle but was driven by simply walking while sitting on it.

Later velocipedes had a large front wheel directly driven by pedals, and a smaller back wheel. Versions with two large front wheels also existed.
