Vaughan Mills is one of the largest and newest shopping malls in Canada. Located just north of Toronto , in the suburb of Vaughan, it opened on Thursday, November 4, 2004.

The shopping complex was designed and built by Ivanhoe Cambridge and The Mills Corporation, which has a set of malls with the suffix "Mills" across the United States.

The new mall suffered from a relatively low number of parking spots, just over 6300, given its vast size - over 1 million square feet. Thanks to the fact that the adjacent Paramount Canada's Wonderland amusement park was closed for the season, extra parking was secured from Wonderland, and a shuttle bus was set up to ferry staff and customers.
