The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) is a small, primarily undergraduate university whose main campus is in Prince George, British Columbia. UNBC also has regional campuses in Terrace, Quesnel, and Fort St. John. Nearly 3700 students were enrolled at UNBC in the 2003 academic year.

The British Columbia legislature established the university on 21 June 1990 with the UNBC Act, and in 1994 the Prince George campus was opened after two years of construction. It sits on the southern end of Cranbrook Hill, overlooking the city from the west. It is architecturally interesting for having apparently separate buildings linked by a hub that is mostly beneath ground level, the Agora building.

Because of its northern latitude, UNBC is a member of the University of the Arctic.
