It is the oldest and main campus of the University of Michigan, which also includes branches University of Michigan-Dearborn and University of Michigan-Flint. It usually referred to simply as the University of Michigan, UM, or U of M (which may also refer to the University of Minnesota, the University of Missouri, the University of Montana, and the University of Maryland).
