The University of Calgary is a university of approximately 26,000 students located in the north-western part of Calgary, Alberta, Canada (pop. 971,500). It offers over 100 programmes in post-secondary education including bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctorates. The U of C was recently ranked second to last of all medical/doctoral universities in Canada by Maclean's Magazine.
