USS Omaha (SSN-692), a Los Angeles-class submarine, was the third ship of the United States Navy to be named for Omaha, Nebraska. Omaha was placed in commission in reserve on 7 February 1995, decommissioned and stricken from the Naval Vessel Register on 5 October 1995 and laid up at Bremerton in Washington. She is scheduled to enter the Nuclear Powered Ship and Submarine Recycling Program on 1 October 2007.
