Tychy (pronounce: Media:Tychy.ogg|['tixi]]]) is a very young city in south Poland with a population of 132 600. Situated in the Silesian Voivodship (since 1999), previously in Katowice Voivodship (1975-1998). Tychy is an important center of beer and automotive industry.

1 Location

Tychy is located about 20km south of Katowice in south of the Upper Silesian Industrial Area near the Vistula river. The city borders with Katowice in the north, Mikolów in the west, Bierun Stary in the east and Kobiór in the south.
