Toronto—Danforth is a Canadian electoral district, or riding. This riding represents the Danforth area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada in the Canadian parliament. The riding was created in 1976 under the name Broadview—Greenwood out of Broadview and portions of York East . It was renamed Toronto-Danforth in 1996. The riding is bounded on the north and west by the Don River, on the south by Lake Ontario, and on the west by Coxwell Avenue. On June 28, 2004, NDP leader Jack Layton was elected as the Member of Parliament of the riding, upsetting longtime Liberal incumbent Dennis Mills. Provincially the riding is represented by Marilyn Churley of the NDP.
