The Murphy-class Destroyer is a fictional starship in the Wing Commander universe.

TCS Murphy was armed with three dual laser turrets, four single laser turrets, a pair of image recognition missile launchers and a center mount Mark IV plasma gun. In addition, she could carry a half squadron of fighters.

Namesake

The Murphy was named for Wing Commander Prophecy artist and Origin employee Sean Murphy, who did not originally design it as a Wing Commander ship.
