SUP35p is the Saccharomyces cerevisiae gene coding for the translation termination factor eRF3.

Its function is to recruit the chromosome disassembly complex after phosphorylization by the viral lytic cascade, in essence preventing viral RNA from being translated into the genomic DNA, a requirement for viral infection.
