Sterling, Virginia is a Washington, DC suburb, northwest of Herndon and Reston, Virginia. Its proximity to Dulles Airport and the technology corridor has made it a modern-day boom town, with home prices skyrocketing.

The suburb originally started as an agricultural area until about the mid-1960's at which time the construction of Dulles International Airport was completed, forever putting Sterling on the map.

Sterling is becoming more and more diverse, as many appreciate its proximity to jobs, its number of homes, and the popular Dulles Town Center, a new shopping mall built very recently.

Sterling has two high schools, Park View and Dominion. Park View's sports program has a rich history and has had major success in both football and softball. Friday night games at Park View are filled to capacity on the home side.
