Stan Mikita is a Slovak- Canadian ice hockey player. He was born in Sokolce , Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia) on May 20, 1940, but he moved to Ontario, Canada as a young boy. He became an NHL hockey player, playing his entire career with the Chicago Blackhawks from 1959- 1980.
