St. John's East is the name of a federal electoral district in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Its population is 81,007. ( 2001) From 2003 to 2004 it was known as St. John's North. Map

2 Geography

The district includes the extreme northeastern part of the Avalon Peninsula including the northern half of the City of St. John's, and the eastern half of the Town of Conception Bay South . Communities include St. John's (part), Conception Bay South (part), Torbay , Paradise, Wabana , and Portugal Cove-St. Philip 's . The area is 400 sq. km.

3 History

St. John's East was won by Liberal Boonie Hickey in 1993 but was captured by Tory Norman Doyle. The Conservative Party of Canada MP remains the incumbent.
