Spotswood is a borough located in Middlesex County, New Jersey. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 7,880. The Borough of Spotswood is governed under the Faulkner Act (Mayor-Council) system of municipal government. The ZIP code is 08884.

1 Geography

Spotswood is located at 40°23'34" North, 74°23'33" West (40.392857, -74.392384) 1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 6.4 km² (2.5 mi²). 6.0 km² (2.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 6.83% water.

2 Demographics

As of the census 2 of 2000, there are 7,880 people, 3,099 households, and 2,163 families residing in the borough. The population density is 1,311.4/km² (3,389.8/mi²).
