Tumors located in the spinal cord. these are mostly metastasis from primary cancers located in other parts of the body, commonly breast, prostate and lung. Depending on their location, the spinal cord tuors can be:

extradural; outside the dura mater lining
intradural
intramedullary

The symptoms seen are due to spinal nerve compression and weakening of the vertebral structure.

MRI are used for diagnostic purposes.
