South Hampton Roads is a region located in the extreme southeastern portion of Virginia in the United States. Hampton Roads is the common name for the metropolitan area that surrounds the body of water of the same name. The land portion of Hampton Roads is divided into two regions, the Peninsula, on the north side, and South Hampton Roads, on the south side, where most of the area's population lives.

The South Hampton Roads region includes five independent cities Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach, and the counties of Surry and Isle of Wight, where the town of Smithfield is located.
