Skanderborg is a municipality in central Denmark, in the county of Aarhus, on the peninsula of Jutland. The municipality covers an area of 143 km², and has a total population of 21,066.Since 1980, a music festival has been held annually in a forest in the vicinity of Skanderborg, the Skanderborg Festival. It is known as "Denmark’s Most Beautiful Festival".
