Simply Smiffy was a spin-off strip from The Beano's Bash Street Kids, involving the thickest boy in the world (Smiffy), his dog (Sniffy), his bird (Smiffy Bird) and his horse (Dummo). Simply Smiffy appeared in The Beano in the late 1980s, when Smiffy decided to have a real adventure. The villain of the strip was Baddy Clever, Cuthbert's uncle.

The main characters were:

Smiffy... A not very bright kid who decided to have an adventure away from Bash Street School. Some of his friends came with him.
Sniffy... His dog, part of Pup Parade. Only Peeps, Bones, Wiggy and Pug came with him.
Smiffy Bird... He had recently been kicked out of the Bash Street Birds after accidentally kicking Plug Bird off Bash Street School. Making Plug Bird's leg break was a crime, so he had to join Smiffy.
Dummo... He was a very simple horse owned by Smiffy. He first appeared in the eighth strip of Simply Smiffy, when Smiffy and his pets were going to Spain. They got on Dummo's back, and he took them to the Himalayas instead.
Baddy Clever... He was Cuthbert Cringworthy's evil uncle.
Sidney and Danny... They were two Bash Street Kids who joined Smiffy.
Smiffy's brother has appeared in it as well.
