Set It Off is a 1996 drama movie starring Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah as sisters who decide to plan and execute a bank robbery in order to live a more lavish lifestyle than the inner-city one that they currently live.

The movie inspired several real-life bank robberies that mimicked the bank robbery that took place in the movie. The controversy's extra media publicity helped generate more income for the film.
