Home > Second Narrows Bridge
The Second Narrows Bridge was constructed in 1925, and was the first bridge to connect Vancouver with the North Shore of Burrard Inlet. As its name suggests, it is located at the second narrowing of the inlet. The original bridge is still in use today, exclusively as a rail bridge.
A second bridge, now called the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge was constructed along side the first bridge.
The Lion's Gate Bridge spans the first narrows of Burrard Inlet.
