Scott Niedermayer (born August 31 1973, in Edmonton, Alberta) is a professional Ice Hockey Defenseman in the NHL, playing for the New Jersey Devils.

Niedermayer has played all of his 12 NHL seasons for New Jersey. He has won 3 Stanley Cups ( 1995, 2000, and 2003). He was drafted in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft by New Jersey. From an offensive scoring point of view, his best season was 1997-98 when he had 57 points. In 2004, he won the James Norris Memorial Trophy, which is awarded to the best defenseman in the league.
