Sam Warner ( August 10, 1887 - October 5, 1927) can be credited as the brother who brought sound to Warner Brothers theatres, after tricking his brother Harry to attend a convention on the matter. Sam placed all his efforts into developing sound for the company and some say it can be attributed to his early death due to a cronic synus condition, before the impact of sound on Hollywood could truly be evaluated.
