Salim Jubran is a judge on the Israeli Supreme Court . A Palestinian- Israeli Christian, he has served on the Court since 2003, and has been a permanent member since May 2004, becoming the first Israeli Arab to be appointed permanently to the Court ( Abd-er-Rahman Zoabi had previously served as a temporary justice for nine months, but was not appointed permanently).

Jubran was born in the German Colony neighborhood of Haifa to a Christian Arab family descended from Lebanese Maronites. He earned a law degree from Jerusalem's Hebrew University, and entered private practice as a lawyer in 1970.
