Formerly known as the Scottish Media Group, it changed its name when it acquired United Kingdom broadcaster Virgin Radio.
It also owns the two Independent Television franchisees for Scotland: Scottish Television and Grampian Television, as well as production company Ginger Television , outdoor advertiser Primesight , and cinema advertiser Pearl and Dean .
