Rothesay, New Brunswick, Canada, is named after the town in Scotland of the same name. It is a suburb of Saint John which lies between the city of Saint John and the town of Quispamsis. Beside the town is the lovely Kennebecasis River. Rothesay sits inside of Kings County. According to the 2001 Canadian census, Rothesay has a population of 11,505. Interesting note--The variable pitch propeller was invented in Rothesay, New Brunswick, by Wallace R Turnbull. Turnbull was Canada's first aviation pioneer. His interest began even before the end of the nineteenth century and his invention of the variable pitch propeller in 1927 revolutionized the aircraft industry.
