Richmond station (station code: RMD) is a suburban railway station in Melbourne, Australia. It is located in the suburb of Richmond, and is built on a rail bridge over the busy Punt Road. It is the gateway to the city for all of Melbourne's eastern and southeastern rail lines. Thus, trains to Frankston, Glen Waverley, Pakenham, Sandringham, Cranbourne, Belgrave, Lilydale and some to Alamein all pass through the station.

It is located 3.7km from Flinders Street Station in the centre of Melbourne. Richmond is located close to the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Melbourne ParkMelbourne Park is a sporting arena in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is located by the Yarra River near the southeast corner of the central business district. Melbourne Park is a part of the sporting and entertainment precinct that also includes Olymp, so it is often busy during sporting and other special events. Each of its island platforms is connected by a long subway.

Through its history, Richmond station has had three four different incarnations.
