Project Babylon was a project commissioned by the Iraqi president Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq War to build a supergun large enough to shoot projectiles into orbit. Gerald Bull supplied the designs for the gun, and nearly all of the required metal tubing was brought in from England, but the project failed when England confiscated the last few pieces and Bull died mysteriously.
