Principal Robin Wood was a recurring character on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The character was present for most of season seven and was played by D.B. Woodside .

Robin was the first principal of the newly rebuilt Sunnydale High School when Dawn began her sophomore year. At first Buffy wonders if he may be evil, but Robin offers her a job in the school. During the first part of the season, hints are dropped that Robin is aware of the mystical situation in Sunnydale (like burying Jonathan's body), but the viewer is left without any indication as to which side he fights for.

Around mid-season, it is revealed that Robin's mother Nikki Wood had also been a slayer and that he was a force for good. Later we learn that Robin's mother was killed by Spike in 1977 on a New York subway car, and that Robin wanted to kill Spike as retribution. Though badly wounded in the battle against The First EvilIn the fictional world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer The First Evil is the "big bad" for season seven. The First is the only big bad who was not officially killed off in the series because as the essence of evil it is an incorporeal being that cannot be phy, Robin did indeed surprise Faith by living.
